What are auto structural stamping parts?

Auto structural stamping parts refer to load-bearing, impact-resistant and force-transmitting metal components formed by blanking, bending, deep drawing and reinforcing stamping processes. Unlike decorative or ordinary mounting stampings, they bear dynamic loads during vehicle driving and absorb collision energy in accidents, directly determining vehicle rigidity, crash safety and torsional stiffness. These parts are mainly manufactured from high-strength low-alloy steel, hot-stamped boron steel and lightweight aluminum alloy, covering body, chassis and new energy battery system structural frameworks.

Main Classification & Typical Products

1. Body Safety Structural Stamping Parts (Core Crash Components)

These key stampings form the passenger survival space and buffer impact force in collisions.

A/B/C/D pillar reinforcement plates: Thick high-strength stamped plates pasted inside body pillars to prevent cabin deformation during front, side and rollover crashes.

Door anti-collision beams & side impact reinforcing plates: Horizontal stamped steel bars installed inside doors to resist side impact extrusion.

Front/rear crash energy-absorbing boxes & front longitudinal beam stampings: Foldable stamped structures that crumple and dissipate kinetic energy in frontal collisions to protect the cockpit and battery pack.

Front/rear bumper inner reinforcing beams: High-tensile stamped supports behind plastic bumpers to undertake low-speed collision loads.

Roof cross reinforcement plates, floor cross members & body side sills: Form the closed ring body frame to improve whole vehicle torsional rigidity and reduce body twisting when cornering.

2. Chassis Load-Bearing Structural Stampings

Bear vehicle weight, suspension impact and long-term road vibration.

Chassis subframe stamped brackets and reinforcing ribs: Connect suspension, steering and power assemblies; integrated aluminum stampings are widely used on EVs for lightweighting.

Control arm reinforcement sheets, stabilizer bar fixing supports and shock absorber mounting brackets: Transfer suspension force between wheels and vehicle body.

Underbody longitudinal beam reinforcing stampings: Resist bending and torsion under full vehicle load.

3. New Energy Vehicle Exclusive Structural Stampings

Specially designed for battery pack protection and load bearing.

Integrated aluminum alloy battery tray stampings: Large one-piece deep-drawn structural shells carrying the entire battery module, with stamped reinforcing ribs to resist bottom impact and prevent battery puncture.

Battery pack surrounding guard plates and fixed reinforcing frames: High-strength stamped components to block collision debris and limit battery displacement.

High-voltage module mounting structural brackets: Rigid stamped supports with high flatness for stable assembly of power components.

4. Other Auxiliary Structural Stamping Parts

Seat frame stamped structural pieces: Seat back frames, slide rail reinforcing plates bearing passenger weight.

Engine mount reinforcement brackets, radiator support cross members: Bear vibration and weight of power assemblies.

Core Features of Auto Structural Stamping Parts

High material strength: Adopt HSLA steel, hot forming steel or automotive aluminum alloy instead of ordinary cold-rolled steel to meet load and anti-deformation demands.

Reinforcement design: Most parts have stamped convex ribs, step structures and thickened zones to boost rigidity without excessive weight gain.

Strict dimensional and welding precision: Tight tolerances ensure consistent assembly and uniform force transmission after welding into the whole vehicle frame.

Rigorous corrosion resistance requirements: Usually galvanized or passivated to avoid rust-induced strength attenuation during long service life.

Crash performance standards: Must pass vehicle frontal, side and rollover impact tests specified by automobile safety regulations.
